The MCAC620-2X-23B-EC is an EtherCAT Dual-Axis Servo Drive with an integrated dual-axis design and EtherCAT communication. Delivered by Lyenwsin, it provides a 20 A output per axis from a 24-60 VDC supply and runs error detection for overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, position deviation, and disconnection faults. Two axes in one package reduce cabinet size and wiring where machines pair independent movements.
An ARM processor with a large programmable logic gate array (FPGA) executes the real-time position, velocity, and torque loops. Dual-axis integration shares a single enclosure and power stage, cutting component count and simplifying enclosure layout relative to driving two separate single-axis units of the same class.
EtherCAT gives the drive a well-defined position on a factory network with deterministic, cyclic data exchange to a master. Competing axes in a multi-axis robotic or inspection cell can be synchronized through the bus rather than through separate step wiring, which shortens commissioning when several drives share one network.
The drive supports 17-bit and 23-bit absolute encoders to suit differing resolution requirements. A rich set of I/O terminals provides limit and homing reference signals, and the drive interoperates with mainstream PLCs from Inovance, Delta, Xinje, Siemens, and Schneider. Built-in alarm protection trips on electrical and position faults to protect both the axis and downstream equipment.
The drive maps to factory automation, packaging machinery, robotics, inspection and semiconductor equipment, medical instrumentation, and printing machinery where two synchronized axes must share a compact enclosure over a deterministic industrial bus.
