The RS485 CANopen closed loop Stepper Drive 2HSS86HC-RC is a fieldbus stepper drive that carries both RS485 and CANopen interfaces, accepting 48-110 VDC or 24-70 VAC supply and providing output current from 0 to 6.8 A. It is built around a 32-bit ARM processor and a power-angle closed loop algorithm, which makes it a practical upgrade path for plants already standardized on serial or CAN-based control.
The integrated power-angle closed loop control algorithm raises motor torque at medium and high speeds. In applications where open-loop stepping loses torque, the closed loop response can approach servo-like behavior while keeping the lower cost profile of a stepper system.
Because the drive continuously corrects for rotor position, the axis remains synchronized under load changes, which reduces missed steps on cyclic handling machinery.
A built-in keypad and digital tube display enable on-site configuration of slave ID, baud rate, rotation direction, and related parameters. Operators can verify node state and adjust settings without carrying a laptop to the line.
Five digital inputs cover homing reference, forward/reverse limit switches, and probe function. Three digital signals report brake control, alarm, and in-position status, giving the host controller a clean window into the axis state.
