The JMC-101-16 is a 16-Axis Programmable Motion Controller that brings the JMC-101 series platform to machines with up to sixteen EtherCAT drive axes or I/O devices. With an 800 MHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, and 512 MB storage expandable to 1 GB, it provides multi-language programming and large I/O expansion in a controller sized for mid-range automation.
This 16-axis variant is based on the same hardware family as the JMC-101, which keeps engineering tools, spare parts, and programming skills consistent across a machine builder’s product line.
The controller includes one EtherCAT port, two CAN interfaces (CANopen and custom CAN), and one each of RS485, RS232, USB 2.0, and Ethernet (Modbus or UDP). I/O expands to 256 inputs and 256 outputs.
Programs can be written in ladder diagram, function block, or C language under a multitasking framework. Motion support includes point-to-point moves, multi-axis linear interpolation, 2-3 axis circular interpolation, and 3-axis helical interpolation.
The JMC-101-16 suits factory automation, robotics, packaging machinery, CNC machine tools, semiconductor equipment, inspection equipment, and material handling at a smaller axis count. Semiconductor tools and inspection stations that combine a few motion axes with many digital signals are common users of the large I/O budget.
