The JMC-8012 is a 12-Axis Pulse Motion Controller that provides economical multi-axis control for machines running step/direction drives. It supports 12 pulse axes, with the axis count expandable through RS485/CAN bus extension, and includes six AB-phase encoder inputs for position feedback from the driven axes. The controller also offers offline programming in ladder diagram, C language, and custom function blocks.
For applications where a fieldbus-based servo system is over-specified, the JMC-8012 drives standard pulse-type stepper and servo drives directly. This keeps the system cost low while still providing coordinated multi-axis motion.
The controller supports offline programming in ladder diagram (Mitsubishi style), C language, and custom function blocks. Motion functions cover point-to-point motion, multi-axis linear interpolation, 2-3 axis circular interpolation, and spiral interpolation.
1 MB RAM is available for program execution and 128 KB of power-off storage retains programs and parameters when power is removed. Interfaces include one CAN, one RS232, two RS485, one USB 2.0, and one Ethernet port.
The JMC-8012 is suitable for factory automation, robotics, packaging machinery, CNC machine tools, semiconductor equipment, inspection equipment, and material handling. Offline-programmed machines that must run without a host PC benefit from the power-off storage and the self-contained programming environment.
Confirm the number of pulse axes and encoder inputs required, and verify the bus extension path for future axis growth. Because programming is offline, keep a copy of the project on a PC for version control. Lyenwsin provides the programming guide and interface documentation to support your integration.
