The JMC-806P is a 6-Axis Pulse Motion Controller JMC-80X series member designed for economical machines that need up to six pulse-controlled axes with encoder feedback. It provides six AB-phase encoder inputs, 1 MB RAM, and 128 KB of power-off storage, and shares the RS485/CAN expansion path of the JMC-80X family.
For machine builders who already use step/direction drives, the JMC-806P offers a low-cost way to coordinate six axes without moving to a full fieldbus servo system. The RS485/CAN expansion path allows the axis count to grow when the machine grows.
Offline programming supports ladder diagram (Mitsubishi style), C language, and custom function blocks. Motion functions include point-to-point motion, multi-axis linear interpolation, 2-3 axis circular interpolation, and spiral interpolation.
1 MB RAM and 128 KB of power-off storage hold the program and parameters. The interface set is one CAN, one RS232, two RS485, one USB 2.0, and one Ethernet.
The JMC-806P fits factory automation, robotics, packaging machinery, CNC machine tools, semiconductor equipment, inspection equipment, and material handling. It is especially useful in packaging and handling machines where a compact, offline-programmed controller drives several pulse-type axes. Typical machines include small pick-and-place units, rotary indexers, label applicators, and multi-axis feeding stations that run a fixed sequence once powered.
Because the controller stores its program in power-off memory, the machine can start its sequence as soon as it is powered without a host PC attached. This simplifies the control architecture on OEM-built equipment and reduces the number of components a technician must support in the field. The Mitsubishi-style ladder environment also shortens training time for maintenance staff who already know conventional PLC programming.
Verify the six encoder inputs match the feedback signals of your axes and that the pulse output level is compatible with your drives. Because the controller is part of the JMC-80X family, expansion modules and programming tools are shared across the series. Estimate the program and parameter size against the 1 MB RAM and 128 KB power-off storage budgets before writing the final sequence.
