The JAWLD15002-23B-EC is a dual-axis fieldbus linear motor drive on a 220 V supply with a 10 A output stage. Integrating two channels in a single unit saves cabinet space, which is valuable on dense precision-positioning and inspection machines where panel real estate is limited.
Gantry sync tracking keeps the two axes coordinated so the load stays square during motion. On cross-table and gantry stages, this prevents the skewing that appears when two channels are tuned and driven independently. Auto-tune and the latest PID logic hold both axes tight to their setpoints.
Machines that move a single load on two coordinated linear motors are the primary use case:
The drive accepts incremental or absolute linear modules, so the integrator can match feedback cost to the machine’s accuracy budget instead of paying for absolute feedback everywhere.
For gantry applications, mechanical stiffness between the two carriages is as important as drive synchronization. Confirm the guide system can hold squareness before commissioning sync gains.
Standard EtherCAT protocol works with mainstream PLCs, lowering the cost of replacing an existing drive footprint. Built-in filters and a disturbance observer suppress vibration; protection covers overvoltage, undervoltage, overspeed, overload, position deviation, and encoder errors.
