High-Power Integrated Axis With Fieldbus

The IESVH80-30-75-48-17BC-RC/EC combines a 750 W servo motor and its drive in an 80 mm frame, running from 48 VDC at 21.0 A. A 17-bit absolute encoder and RS485 plus CANopen/EtherCAT networking over RJ45 round out the unit. It is aimed at machine axes that need full servo performance but cannot spare the panel volume of a separate drive.

Protection Functions Built In

Overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and position deviation beyond limits are monitored internally. These protections operate at the axis rather than at a central amplifier, which isolates faults and speeds up diagnosis on large machines. A problem on one axis does not require tracing through a shared drive cabinet.

Fieldbus Integration and Wiring

The single-housing design removes the separate encoder, motor power, and signal cables. Each axis becomes a node on the bus with two connections: DC supply and network. For CNC machine tools and battery manufacturing lines with many axes, this substantially reduces cabinet and cable tray work.
