The 110J18115-460 is the shortest NEMA42 (110 mm) motor in this range at 115 mm, delivering 12 N·m of holding torque at 6.0 A through a 19 mm shaft. It is a 2-phase stepper that provides open-loop control for axes that need the NEMA42 mounting and shaft standard with a more compact body.
Twelve N·m is still a substantial figure for a two-phase stepper, adequate for medium rotary tables, indexing fixtures and CNC axis drives that must hold position against moderate loads. The reduced length trades a portion of torque for a smaller footprint.
For a rotary table divided into indexed positions, the holding torque resists angular creep while the part is stationary. For a CNC axis, the motor provides positioning authority within the limits of an open-loop system, where the application must not demand feedback-based compensation.
