Integrated Drive and Motor in One Unit

The iRSS86-80-120-17BC-RC/EC is an EtherCAT Integrated closed loop Stepper Motor from the iRSS-R/RC/EC series, built on an 86 mm frame with drive electronics and motor in one housing. It delivers 12 N·m holding torque with a 6.0 A rated current on an 80 VDC supply and carries a 17-bit absolute encoder. Because the driver is built into the motor housing, the machine builder removes one wiring harness, one panel component and one possible failure point. The shielded motor cable that normally connects driver to motor is replaced by a single fieldbus connection, which reduces installation time on multi-axis machines.
