The 2DM522-EC is a Fieldbus Stepper Drive 2.2A rated on a 24-48 VDC supply, delivered by Lyenwsin to machine builders who need low-current step axes on an EtherCAT network. Its modest current class matches small NEMA step motors, so it powers low-torque axes on compact machines without the cost and heat of an oversized drive.
Firmware tuned for these motor sizes keeps low-speed travel smooth and maintains torque at higher step rates. Customizable microstepping adjusts resolution to the axis, which matters on machines where a finer step size reduces mechanical noise.
The RJ45 connectors daisy-chain neatly in a cabinet, and the keypad/display sets slave ID, baud rate, and direction on site. Five inputs and two outputs cover home, limits, probe, brake, alarm, and in-position wiring.
This drive earns its place on machines with many small, low-torque axes:
2.2 A is plenty for small NEMA motors; selecting a higher-current drive for the same motor only adds cost and cabinet heat. Verify the motor’s rated current against the drive output.
Keep the axis on a 24-48 VDC bus and check that the power supply can source the current without sagging during acceleration peaks. Lyenwsin can help you confirm the motor-drive pairing before you commit to a cabinet layout.
