• 17bit absolute encoder
• Closed-loop control, compact structure, low vibration
The iESSL60-36-30-17BC-RC is a closed-loop integrated stepper motor with 3.0 N·m holding torque, 5.0 A phase current, and a 17-bit absolute encoder, communicating over RS485+CAN. The driver is integrated into the 60 mm frame, which reduces cabinet space and motor cabling.
RS485 and CAN give the machine builder flexibility in wiring topology. Units are addressed on the bus, and motion commands plus status feedback travel over the same two-wire network, so a multi-axis machine needs only one control connection per axis.
Closed-loop control with the 17-bit absolute encoder keeps the axis on target under load changes and eliminates missed-step errors that would otherwise go undetected until the next reference move.
Static holding torque is 3.0 N·m; continuous output is limited by frame temperature and cycle rate. Mount the flange to the machine structure so the frame can conduct heat, and avoid enclosing the motor in an insulated pocket.
