• 24-60 VDC supply voltage , max 5 A output current
• Pulse/Dir Pulse Mode
• high efficiency, low heat generation, low noise
• Featuring full closed-loop control
The 5A 2-Phase closed loop Stepper Drive 24-60VDC (2HSS57-N) integrates full closed loop control so positional feedback governs the current, speed, and position loops rather than trusting open-loop step counts. With a 5 A maximum output current and a 24-60 VDC supply range, it is well matched to NEMA23-class motors running at moderate torque in shorter axis machines. Lyenwsin supplies this drive for robotics, compact CNC, and packaging machinery.
An encoder signal is compared against the commanded position continuously. If the rotor lags under load, the drive raises the phase current to recover the position. This behaviour suppresses missed-step drift and lets the machine run closer to the motor’s torque peak without the standing excess current typical of an open-loop drive at idle.
The current is applied on demand, which reduces wasted energy as heat and keeps motor and drive surfaces cooler in continuous duty. Because less current circulates unnecessarily, audible and mechanical noise stay lower during holding and low-speed operation.
Standard pulse/direction inputs allow wiring into existing PLC or motion-controller step outputs. The drive is deliberately kept small to fit inside a modest control cabinet alongside the motor it drives.
This drive supports robotics, compact CNC equipment, packaging and printing machinery, textile and food processing lines, industrial automation, and automated handling mechanisms where a modest-size axis needs dependable closed loop positioning in a constrained envelope.
Confirm that the motor phase current is within the 5 A maximum and that the 24-60 VDC bus stays within range under load. For multi-axis machines, check the supply capacity for the combined current draw. Lyenwsin offers application support for motor-drive pairing and commissioning.
