The 2HSS858H-N is a 2-phase closed-loop stepper drive accepting 60-120 VDC or 50-90 VAC supplies with a 6 A maximum output current. Its higher bus-voltage range targets machines that need more torque at speed while keeping a simple stepper-style command interface.
A 60-120 VDC bus lets the drive build winding current quickly, which maintains torque as stepping rate rises. For fast indexing and traverse axes, this headroom translates directly into shorter cycle times. The 50-90 VAC input option covers supplies derived from an AC transformer without a separate DC regulator.
The drive accepts Pulse/Dir commands, the standard interface for PLCs and CNC controllers. No protocol conversion or fieldbus gateway is required for the step interface itself.
Full closed-loop control verifies the motor’s actual position and corrects deviations continuously. This prevents step loss on rapid accelerations and holds position during variable-load operations.
High efficiency and low heat generation keep the drive within comfortable thermal limits at higher bus voltages, and low noise keeps the machine pleasant to work near.
