The 42J1848EC-1000-LS produces 0.5 N.m holding torque in a NEMA 17 frame, with a 48 mm body, 1.5 A phase current, and 5 mm shaft. It is the lower-torque compact option in this series, intended for precise, low-inertia axes in laboratory and optical instruments.
An integrated 1,000 P/R encoder gives the drive real rotor position, so commanded and actual positions are compared continuously. If the axis slips, the drive corrects it immediately. In semiconductor and optical equipment, where components are aligned to tight tolerances, this feedback prevents the accumulation of step error over repeated motions.
Holding torque is rated at standstill. At speed, available torque declines with the winding’s current rise capability. The 1.5 A rating and short stack keep heat low, and closed-loop current reduction during dwell supports long-duration instrument operation.
The motor serves semiconductor equipment, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, optical equipment, 3D printers, inspection equipment, pump systems, and factory automation.
