The 130J12205EC-2500 is a NEMA 52 Closed Loop Stepper Motor providing 28 N·m holding torque from a 205 mm body at 6.8 A per phase, with a 24 mm shaft. It combines the heavy-frame format with a 2,500 P/R encoder for finer position feedback than the 1,000 P/R class.
On large loads, a small angular error can translate into a noticeable displacement at the tool or table edge. The 2,500 P/R encoder lets the drive resolve position more finely and correct deviations before they grow. The three-phase winding keeps torque smooth, and the closed loop prevents the silent step loss that can occur when an open-loop stepper meets a torque spike.
Holding torque is the standstill rating. Running torque falls with speed, limited by winding inductance and the 6.8 A current rating. closed loop control reduces standing current during dwell, keeping temperature rise in check on intermittent-duty machines.
Applications include CNC machine tools, packaging machinery, factory automation, precision robotic mechanisms, textile and printing machinery, food processing, and automated handling mechanisms.
