The TA-131-L5 is a 32-Axis EtherCAT Motion Controller packaged in a compact DIN-rail housing, designed for machines that need up to thirty-two bus-controlled axes in a small footprint. Powered by an ARM A7 quad-core processor at 1.0 GHz with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage, it is a practical choice for robotics, CNC, and packaging machines where cabinet space is at a premium.

Compact Mechanical Design

The lightweight plastic housing with a rail clip mounts directly on a DIN rail inside an electrical cabinet. A slide-in I/O expansion interface lets additional I/O modules be added without disturbing the controller wiring, which simplifies panel build and future upgrades.

Motion Control Paths

The controller provides six pulse axes and up to 32 EtherCAT axes on a 4 ms cycle. An optional pulse expansion module extends pulse-type drive control when the machine architecture calls for it. This flexibility is useful on packaging cells where some stations are retrofitted while others are new.

I/O and Connectivity

On-board I/O includes 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Communication interfaces are RS485, RS232, USB 2.0, EtherCAT, and EtherNet.
