The 2HCS528-RC is a compact closed-loop stepper drive pairing RS485 and CANopen with a 24VDC supply and 2.8A output. Running a power-angle closed-loop algorithm on a 32-bit ARM core, it keeps torque present at medium and high speeds while staying light enough for small automation cells. This makes it well matched to the modest current demands of compact motion axes.
Because it reads rotor position and corrects excitation in real time, the 2HCS528-RC protects smaller steppers from missed-step excursions during acceleration. The trade-off is a current stage scaled to 2.8A, so the drive should be paired with motors within that envelope.
Both physical layers are available, letting the integrator pick the bus already present in the cabinet. CANopen suits noisy industrial floors; RS485 suits direct controller links.
The keypad and digital tube display configure slave ID, baud rate, and rotation direction on-site, supported by a defined digital I/O set.
Applications span factory automation, packaging machinery, compact CNC equipment, robotics, automated handling mechanisms, textile machinery, printing machinery, and food processing. For a small cell running 24VDC with CANopen, this drive is a lean closed-loop addition.
