ProfiNET closed loop Stepper Drive for Plant Networks

The ProfiNET closed loop Stepper Drive 2HSS858H-PN belongs to the digital-display branch of the fieldbus closed loop stepper family and is built around ProfiNET. A 32-bit ARM processor runs a power-angle closed loop algorithm that holds torque at medium and high speeds, allowing this drive to absorb a portion of the workload normally reserved for servo systems. It accepts a wide 24-70 VAC or 48-110 VDC supply and produces up to 5.8 A of output current.

Wide-Band Power Input

Accepting both AC and DC supplies gives the integrator flexibility when bus voltage differs across a machine. The drive handles 24-70 VAC as well as 48-110 VDC, so the same part can be staged in cabinets where only one supply type is already present.
