The 6.8A EtherCAT closed loop Stepper Drive 2HCS868H-EC is a digital-display closed loop stepper drive engineered for EtherCAT installations that need a solid current stage. Its 32-bit ARM controller applies a power-angle closed loop algorithm, sustaining torque through medium and high speeds so the axis behaves closer to a servo. The drive runs on 24-70 VAC or 48-110 VDC and outputs up to 6.8 A, giving it usable torque overhead for real production loads.

One Synchronized Motion Backbone

EtherCAT gives the machine a single synchronized motion backbone, so the 2HCS868H-EC can run alongside other fieldbus nodes under one master. Because closed loop feedback is local to the drive, the network carries only setpoints and status, keeping bus traffic predictable.

Local closed loop Correction

The power-angle algorithm reads rotor position and corrects excitation in real time, holding torque and position where an open-loop axis would start to lose steps.

Front-Panel Commissioning

A keypad and digital tube display handle slave ID, baud rate, and rotation direction locally. The same panel reports state during tuning, reducing reliance on a laptop at the machine.
