The JAND4002-20B-P28 is a 400 W high-voltage servo drive for 220 VAC supplies. Despite the 400 W rating, it is capable of a 9.6 A maximum output current, which provides ample short-term current for the high accelerations common in fast production axes.
Peak current above the rated level improves acceleration torque without requiring a larger motor. On indexing fixtures and pick-and-place axes, this capacity shortens move time and raises throughput.
The drive reads 17/23-bit absolute encoders for position. One analog command input accepts -10 V to 10 V, and the P28 variant provides 5 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs for basic axis control signals.
Setup runs over a MicroUSB port; an RS485 interface supports networking with other drives and a host controller.
This P28 model has no built-in braking resistor. Regenerative energy must be absorbed by an external braking resistor, which should be sized to the deceleration energy of the attached load.
Overvoltage, undervoltage, overspeed, and overload protection are standard.
