• Closed-loop control, compact structure, low vibration
The iESS57-36-30-17BC-RC is a 57 mm integrated stepper motor with 3.0 N·m holding torque and 4.0 A phase current, powered from 36 VDC and controlled over RS485+CAN. A 17-bit absolute encoder closes the loop around the rotor position.
The 57 mm frame is a middle ground between the 42 mm and 60 mm sizes. Delivering 3.0 N·m from this frame requires the full 4.0 A winding current, which the integrated drive supplies directly at the motor.
The absolute encoder reports position without a reference run, and the closed loop corrects load-induced step loss. This keeps positioning repeatable on axes with variable friction or load.
At 4.0 A the winding loss is moderate, but the integrated drive raises the housing temperature during continuous use. Provide airflow and a metal mounting path, and treat 3.0 N·m as the static limit for thermal design.
