The iESS60-36-35-17BC-RC is a 3.5 N·m closed loop Stepper Motor in a 60 mm frame with 5.0 A phase current on a 36 VDC bus, controlled over RS485+CAN. The driver is embedded in the motor housing, and a 17-bit absolute encoder provides closed loop feedback. It is supplied as a single-unit axis for indexing turntables, medium conveyors, and compact automation cells.
3.5 N·m from a 60 mm integrated unit is a practical match for indexing turntables and medium conveyors where a larger motor would be overkill. The single-unit package keeps the panel layout simpler and reduces the parts count on multi-axis machines.
Serial control over RS485 or CAN lets the machine controller manage speed, position, and diagnostics on the same wire pair. On multi-axis machines, bus addressing replaces individual pulse/direction wiring, and both physical layers are supported so the same axis can serve either controller type.
The 5.0 A winding current plus the on-board drive heat means the 60 mm frame should be kept ventilated. Static torque of 3.5 N·m is the reference; continuous output depends on cycle rate and ambient temperature. For continuous operation, monitor the housing temperature and adjust the cycle rate if it approaches the maximum rating in the datasheet.
Define the bus topology, node addresses, and baud rate before wiring the segment, and terminate the line correctly to avoid communication faults.
