The iESS60-36-20-17BC-RC is a 60 mm Integrated Stepper Motor rated at 2.0 N·m holding torque and 5.0 A phase current on a 36 VDC bus. Drive and motor share one body, and a 17-bit absolute encoder enables closed loop control over RS485+CAN. The unit is supplied as a complete axis for compact automation panels where space is limited.
Integrating the drive into the motor removes the drive from the panel and shortens the motor cable to near zero. For machines with many small axes, this reduces build time and removes a common source of step loss from noisy long cables.
RS485+CAN carries motion commands and returns status and diagnostic data. Because the encoder is absolute, the machine can resume its position after an interruption without a homing move. Status and diagnostic information returned over the bus helps maintenance teams identify axis faults without climbing into the machine.
For 2.0 N·m holding torque, the current is available when needed; however, continuous operation at rated torque will heat the housing. Keep the 60 mm frame ventilated and account for duty cycle in the axis design. For machines with intermittent duty, the integrated unit delivers the torque on demand while keeping the panel layout simple.
Match the bus type to the existing controller and confirm node addressing before commissioning. For multi-axis machines, the integrated package reduces wiring and cabinet space per axis, which simplifies the overall layout.
