The 86J12156EC-1000-60-SCG is a NEMA 34 closed-loop stepper motor with an integrated brake, providing 7.8 N·m holding torque in a 156 mm body with 1,000 P/R feedback.
Because the drive sees actual rotor position from the 1,000 P/R encoder, it can detect the moment a load spike pushes the motor toward stall and correct for it. This converts what would be a lost-step event in an open-loop system into a recoverable transient.
The integrated brake holds the axis when power is removed, so vertical segments in packaging or handling systems stay fixed. It also supports safe stop behavior on lines that cycle frequently.
Packaging machinery, textile lines, and automated handling systems are the core fit. The motor also appears in factory automation cells where compact size and closed-loop reliability are equally weighted.
