The MCAC825-23B-EC is a 25A EtherCAT Servo Drive designed for synchronized multi-axis motion on a 24-80 VDC bus. Supplied by Lyenwsin as part of its industrial automation portfolio, the drive provides fully digital position, velocity, homing, and torque control with fault protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, position deviation, and disconnection. As a mid-range node in the MCAC fieldbus general series, it delivers dependable performance for EtherCAT-coordinated machines.

Real-Time Servo Loop

An ARM processor with a large FPGA executes the digital control loops. Auto-tuning and resonance frequency identification let the drive settle differing mechanical loads with minimal manual gain work, and EtherCAT’s efficient cyclic exchange keeps the axis tightly coordinated with the network master.

EtherCAT Multi-Axis Coordination

For machines running several drives on one bus, EtherCAT’s synchronous data cycles let axes operate as a coordinated group while each drive still closes its own loop. This suits applications that require consistent relative motion between stations rather than independent point-to-point wiring.

Feedback and Interfacing

The drive supports incremental and absolute encoders to match differing accuracy needs. Rich I/O terminals provide limit switch, homing reference, and probe functions, and the drive works with PLCs from Inovance, Leadshine, Omron, Delta, and Beckhoff. Fault protection trips the axis to contain electrical and positional problems.
