The MCAC825-23B-EC is a fieldbus low-voltage servo drive rated at 25 A output current from a 24-80 VDC supply over EtherCAT. It protects the axis against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, position deviation, and disconnection faults. The drive is a dependable mid-range node for EtherCAT-coordinated multi-axis systems.

Real-Time Servo Control

An ARM processor with a large programmable logic gate array (FPGA) executes the fully digital position, velocity, homing, and torque loops. Auto-tuning and resonance frequency identification let the drive settle differing mechanical loads with minimal manual gain work. EtherCAT's efficient cyclic exchange keeps the axis tightly coordinated with the network master.

EtherCAT Multi-Axis Coordination

For machines that run several drives on one bus, EtherCAT's synchronous data cycles let axes operate in a coordinated group where each drive still closes its own closed-loop path. This suits applications that need consistent relative motion between stations rather than independent, wired point-to-point stepping.

Feedback and Interfacing

The drive supports both incremental and absolute encoders to match differing accuracy needs. Rich I/O terminals provide limit switch, homing reference, and probe functions, and the drive works with PLCs from Inovance, Leadshine, Omron, Delta, and Beckhoff. Fault protection trips the axis to contain electrical and positional problems.
