100A EtherCAT Servo Drive for High-Torque Automation Axes

The MCAC8A0-23B-EC is a 100A EtherCAT Servo Drive rated for a 100 A output current from a 24-80 VDC supply, communicating over EtherCAT. Distributed by Lyenwsin, it actively protects against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, position deviation, and disconnection faults. The high current output gives the headroom required by axes with high acceleration demands under an EtherCAT master.

Real-Time Control and Regulation

An ARM processor paired with a large programmable logic gate array (FPGA) runs the fully digital position, velocity, homing, and torque loops. Auto-tuning and resonance frequency identification reduce the manual gain effort across different load inertias, while the 100 A power stage supplies the peak current that stiff axes draw during rapid reversals.

EtherCAT networking

EtherCAT provides low-latency cyclic data exchange, which suits multi-axis systems that must keep slave axes tightly synchronized to a master. Using one EtherCAT network to connect several high-current drives keeps wiring simple and lets a single master coordinate axis motion and collect diagnostics centrally.

Feedback and Interfacing

Both incremental and absolute encoders are supported so the drive fits either low-cost incremental builds or absolute multi-turn feedback. Rich I/O includes limit switch, homing reference, and probe terminals, with compatibility for PLCs from Inovance, Leadshine, Omron, Delta, and Beckhoff. Internal protection trips to contain electrical or positional faults safely.
