The iHSS42-24-07-RC/EC is a 42 mm integrated stepper motor with the drive embedded in the frame. This is a practical solution for small machines where a separate drive would occupy disproportionate panel area and add unnecessary cable length.
Running from 24 VDC at 1.7 A, the motor delivers 0.7 N·m holding torque. Its 1000 P/R incremental encoder provides closed-loop correction, holding position on small indexing tasks where open-loop step counting can drift under variable friction.
Despite its size, the unit supports RS485, CAN and EtherCAT, so small axes can join the same network as larger machine modules instead of being controlled by separate point-to-point wiring.
