• Frame size 86 mm
• Holding torque 8.5 N·m
• Supply Voltage 80 VDC
• Rated current 6.0 A
• RS485+CAN/EtherCAT
• 1000P/R incremental encoder
• Closed-loop control, compact structure, low vibration
The iHSS86-80-85-RC/EC mounts the fieldbus stepper drive directly onto the motor body, eliminating the separate driver enclosure that normally consumes panel space. For machines with several axes, this single-unit construction shortens cable runs between driver and motor, reduces wiring points, and simplifies machine assembly and service access.
A 1000 P/R incremental encoder closes the position loop. Instead of trusting open-loop step counts, the drive monitors actual rotor position and applies real-time error correction, which keeps the axis stable under load and reduces missed-step risk at start-stop transitions.
Three communication options let the axis join an existing control network without protocol converters. EtherCAT suits high-speed synchronized multi-axis systems; RS485 and CAN fit simpler standalone or PLC-controlled lines.
With 8.5 N·m of holding torque and network control, this unit fits CNC machine tool axes, packaging machinery indexing, textile and printing drives, food-processing lines and automated handling mechanisms where holding torque and synchronized motion matter more than raw speed.
