The 57J18100EC-1000-LS-SCG is a NEMA23 closed loop Stepper Motor With Brake producing 2.8 N·m holding torque at 4.0 A phase current. A 100 mm body, an 8 mm shaft, and a built-in 1,000 P/R encoder complete the package. In the NEMA23 range this is a higher-torque build, suitable for axes that carry real mechanical loads rather than only light indexing. Feedback from the integrated 1,000 P/R encoder lets the drive correct position error during motion and at standstill. This removes the step-loss uncertainty of open-loop stepping and lets the axis operate closer to its torque limit. The result is more usable torque for the same motor size.

Integrated Brake

The brake holds the rotor with power off, covering vertical axes and any stop where the machine must not back-drive. On desktop CNC and robotic arms this prevents the tool or gripper from sagging between commands.
