The 60J1856EC-1000-LS-SCG is a 1.5 N·m closed loop Stepper Motor with a compact 56 mm NEMA24 body and an integrated brake. Holding torque is 1.5 N·m at a 3.5 A phase current, delivered through an 8 mm shaft with a built-in 1,000 P/R encoder. This is the lightest-torque option in the 60 mm frame series, chosen when space and inertia matter more than peak torque.

Why closed loop Control on a Compact Motor

At 1.5 N·m the motor has less torque reserve than larger frames, so step-loss protection matters more. The integrated 1,000 P/R encoder lets the drive detect and correct position error continuously. In practice this extends the usable torque range and keeps the axis accurate on high-cycle equipment.

Brake for Handling and Positioning Stations

The holding brake keeps the load fixed when power is removed. This is relevant for vertical lifts in battery equipment and for clamping-type stations where the workpiece must not move between cycles.
