The iESSH42-24-05-17BC-RC/EC is a 24 VDC closed-loop stepper motor rated at 0.5 N·m holding torque with a 1.5 A phase current, integrated into a 42 mm frame together with its drive. It is a low-power choice for axes that prioritize a small envelope over raw torque.
Half a newton-metre covers light grippers, small turntables, and low-inertia transfer devices. Because the drive and motor share one body, the axis can be pre-assembled as a module and dropped into the machine frame.
Closed-loop control maintains position under varying friction, and the 17-bit absolute encoder reports position immediately at power-up. RS485+CAN and EtherCAT variants are available for connection to the machine controller.
With only 1.5 A through the windings, copper loss stays modest, which helps in compact enclosures. Continuous duty still requires the frame to radiate heat; intermittent operation at rated torque is the intended envelope.
