The iESSH60-36-30-17BC-RC/EC is a 60 mm integrated stepper motor with a 17-bit absolute encoder and closed-loop control. Unlike a discrete motor-and-drive pair, the drive stage is built into the motor housing, so no separate cabinet, no long motor cables, and no additional EMC filtering between driver and motor are required on the machine.
Because rotor position is known at power-up, the axis does not need a homing cycle after a restart. That shortens machine recovery time after power loss and simplifies commissioning when several axes must be synchronized.
This model is supplied with either RS485+CAN or EtherCAT communication. Setpoints, status, and closed-loop tuning parameters are transferred over the bus, so the drive can be adjusted remotely instead of opening the panel.
The 3.0 N·m figure is static holding torque; usable continuous torque depends on the mounting surface, ambient temperature, and duty cycle. Keep the 60 mm frame surface free of insulation and allow airflow around the housing. The compact structure keeps vibration low at medium and low speeds, which benefits precision positioning.
