The 660W EtherCAT Integrated Servo Motor IHSV86-30-66-72-RC/EC is an 86 mm integrated servo delivering 660 W from a 72 VDC bus. It is one of the higher-power members of the family, sized for axes with a meaningful load inertia that still want the cabling economy of an integrated design. For machines already running a 72 VDC rail, this unit removes the separate servo drive enclosure entirely.
The drive accepts RS485, CAN, or EtherCAT command sources depending on the order variant, so it can be matched to either legacy RS485-based cells or modern EtherCAT networks. On EtherCAT, multiple axes can synchronize from one master while the network carries only setpoints and status.
A 1000P/R incremental encoder provides classic velocity and position control where absolute references are established once, such as at machine startup. Consolidating motor power, feedback, and bus signal into the body reduces external wiring and simplifies routing in crowded cabinets.
Protection functions cover overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and excessive position deviation. With a 13.1 A rating the drive should be vertically oriented where possible to assist convection; sustained high torque calls for monitoring frame temperature on longer cycles.
This larger actuator fits CNC machine tool spindles and axes, battery manufacturing stations, material handling and packaging lines, printing machinery, and robotics where 72 VDC power is available and high output is needed.
